PRESENTATION AND MISSION The NCO School is an establishment of military instruction in charge of training NCOs belonging to army Directions and Central Organs of the Ministry of the National Defense , by dispensing to them the fundamental knowledge and know-how, helping them to integrate into military life. CONDITIONS OF RECRUITMENT - Being of Tunisian nationality,
- Being between 18 and 23 years old on December 31st of the exam year, or being at most 24 years old for those who are in the process of doing their military service or those who have done it,
- Minimum height : 1,67 m for males and 1,60 m for females,
- Instruction level : Accomplished 4th secondary year (new regime) to the minimum or having passed the baccalaureate of the exam year,
- Having an average mark superior or equal to 10/20 in field of physical Training,
- Being physically fit to the military service.

CONSTITUTION OF THE DOSSIER - Candidacy application addressed to the Minister of the National Defense ,
- Parental Authorization for the candidates of less than 20 years old,
- Exact copy of the baccalaureate or the school certificate or of presence certificate for those having the level of the 4th secondary year (new regime). The school presence certificate of the candidates from private high schools should be acknowledged by the Ministry of Education and training,
- Two copies of the national identity card.
- Two stamped envelopes bearing the address of the candidate.
- An original birth certificate valid for 3 months at least.
- An exact copy of the baccalaureate mark bulletin .
- Original Bulletin N°3 of the same year.
- Exact copy of good behavior certificate for those who have accomplished their military service or those who show up with a presence certificate or those who are in the process of doing their military service.

NB: - The candidacy dossiers should be addressed by mail to the NCO School,
- Incomplete dossiers s or those addressed after the set deadline will not be taken into consideration,
- The non convocation to participate in recruitment exam is considered as an unfavorable answer to the candidacy.
TRAINING The training dispensed at the NCO School lasts for one year and includes three phases: - Phase of common basic training
- Phase of rank common officers.
SPECIALITES At the termination of the training cycle at the NCO School , the NCO student chooses one of the following specialities : - Specialties in the weapons:
Armaments and ammunitions, Infantry, Tanks, Field Artillery, Anti aircraft Artillery, Transportation, Transmissions,Signal, Engineering Corps,
- Other specialties:
Heating and Refrigeration, Auto Mechanics, General Mechanics, Auto Electricity, General Electricity, Electro techniques, Carpentry, Printing, Petrol and Gasoline,data processing, Metal Construction, Works Supervisor, Administration, Music, Languages, Military Justice , Photography and Cinema, Documentation and Archives, Catering and Pastry, Psycho techniques, dog training
